I've noticed you spell armour the Canadian way, but honor the American way. I'm a bit confused over which way to go now.

Or am I missing the point, and this is actually all the British way? (Which I don't know at all).

If you prefer the Canadian way, I should keep armour, and change honor to honour..
But if you prefer the American way, I should change armour to armor, and keep honor..

Or, I guess, this might all be coming from some country I don't know about, so please let me know.

(honor from MG XF1)

During my work, I found the word "aeroplanes". So, now I know this is British English, and I'll leave honor and armour as is since I don't know anything about British English. Aeroplanes is my guess at the word though - it was misspelt too.

Your Canadian English seems to be (similar to?) British English... at least in cases like armor<->armour and honor<->honour. I don't know anything about Canadian English, but I know the spellings "armour" and "honour" from British English. Aeroplanes is British, airplane American English. Dunno how it's like in Canada.

In general(@Kreks and everyone who wants to translate): Since William Walker is said to be Canadian, why don't to stick with Canadaian English?

[P/2708700605/Info] PA 81 Rhino and [P/2708700605/ResearchInfo] are not translated.

Babelfish was able to translate it for me however, so I can apply my translation if you wish... But you didn't want that before, so I post this here.

Canadian English is more like British English than the Americans.

armour, honour, and airplane is how we say it in Canadian.
armor, honor, and airplane is how they say it in American.
I guess it is:
armour, honour, and aeroplane in British English.

I recognize aeroplane as a word, but it is not used in Canadian. I'm sure there are other words like this that I don't recognize, and so while I am spell checking, I'll probably make the mistake of correcting something the wrong way...

Not much I can do about that though, I'm correcting this by hand since I don't even have a Canadian spell check, or a word processor..

@gnfalex: Thanks for the info about the last German texts.

Criusmac, you're a great help but I've learned English by talking and reading and I only knew a few things about the differences of spelling like color, armour and so on. If you're a nativ speaker change it the way it is correct in your language otherwise just leave it. I guess there are far more mistakes of that kind.

PS: "My bad" belongs to one of the worst US-American slangs I've ever heard and I thought it was the proper word for my grave translation error.

Ok, I will change aeroplane to airplane then.

"My bad" is something that is commonly said in the US and Canada. Sadly, it's everywhere, and is even considered proper English. I did not realize anything was wrong with that phrase until it was mentioned here... Actually, I'm still not sure anything is wrong with it. I hear it all the time, so that's probably why.

I am having trouble with [P/1495047295/Info] Hydrocultures - Plants.

In the second paragraph, third sentence you have written:
I told Anne this and she said, that her focus will be the available of food.

At first, I translated this to:
I told Anne this, and she said that her focus will be the availability of food.

but this changes the meaning of the sentence.

I wanted to be sure if Anne is focusing on the currently available food, or the future availability of food.

(Edit)
The way the sentence should look without changing the meaning any is:
I told Anne this, and she said that her focus will be the available food.

I will do that.
And what I mean was

I told Anne this, and she said that her focus will be the availability of food.

I guess an English gameset was a good idea for the community. It may has attracted a few players more.

[P/2026705648/Info] is not translated.

I like English myself, seeing as it's the only language I know. Some of my friends are very annoyed I don't try/want to learn French.

So, anything I can say about having an English gameset are rather... what's the word? Leaning? Hmmm. Darn, can't think of the word.

Err, well, I mean, I think having an English gameset is a great idea too, though, how many people know it exists?..

Were you taking care of [P/2708700605/Info] PA 81 Rhino and [P/2708700605/ResearchInfo] too? I didn't see any mention of them. Just making sure they weren't missed. I'll just assume you're going to translate them too.

Should I submit another update of the translation I'm doing? I'm about two thirds done now. I've been pushing hard on it.

I seem to have reached the end.

I managed to destroy all the factories, and labs, and search out a couple UFOs that were on the ground.

Two and a half weeks have passed, and nothing is happening, so I'm assuming I reached the end of the story?

YOU'VE DONE THAT WITHIN TWO AND A HALF WEEKS?!?! Well, after the destruction should trigger another script which gives access to the energysource technologies. That should be the end. On which difficulty have you played and with which weapon technology? And don't overwork yourself with the translation, we all have time, but cool work.

He did it in unknown time. After he did it, he waited 2.5 months for the story to continue.

I waited 2.5 weeks after destroying the factories and labs. I didn't seem to trigger the last script for the energy source technology. I'm at a bit past 8 weeks in game time now.

I finished destroying the last factory and lab at week 5.
I'm on the normal difficulty level, and I took the first weapon technology I saw, which was Trinity base, optics and sensors.. Though, I didn't see any researchable technologies from it.

That sounds much better and fits good in my time-difficulty estimation.

After destroying the base you should have got a base researchproject called "Data from the Trinity Base" and after you get a sniper and a plane to research. If not, please press the "create logfile" button on the rigth. It will create a log from the game in your XForce home directory (thanks to Natter again) and post it in Mantis.
