The Diary of William Walker


When the League discovered the huge Alphatron deposits on earth, it was declared as their new colony and mankind became their slaves. At this time fled the high ranking officer of the Canadian Air Force into exile.

Current version V0.2

* 9 different enemies
* approximately 5-6 weeks playtime
* Different technology trees, depending on the choices in the game
* Extensive Story
* Base staff need food
* Experimental system for computer hacking
* Experimental system for a better choice of enemies during a ground Mission
* Script controlled game play
* Now also in English

General Information

* The story has not proceeded, but now the V0.23 will cover nothing else.
* In some ground missions, there is computer terminal which must be hacked. In every kind of this missions is a hint that a data pad is required for hacking. Its usage is described in the UFOPedia.
* During the mission "Silo Phase Sabotage" there is a chance to be ambushed. A very special script which caused some disturbance in the forum works here. I have it tested very precisely so there shouldn't be any problems. Otherwise, please report it.

Known leaks

* Only two of three described weapon labs are implemented

* Introduction of the travelling salesman
* Addition of the last weapon lab
* New daily missions

Oops, I meant, I fixed the spelling mistakes and things in your description.

Also some capitalization.. I've noticed you tend to never capitalize Alphatron.. Should it be capitalized? I've always written it capitalized but maybe it shouldn't be. I wonder why I feel it should be...

I played the gameset and there are a few things I think should be fixed.

-If you do one of the alien weapon researchbase missions the other doesn't dissapear even if you don't get anything from it.
-In the combat scene your turns are sometimes skipped.
-the roket launcher is not very useful because it doesn't even hurt the drones.
-the new guns are way to underpowered. only 10 power while the gun before it has 30? I think that is a mistake.

This sounds like the round-break-bug on which the team is currently working. I don't interfere with scripts during the combat, so be patient with the team and this problem will be solved.

I've noticed that the rocketlauncher sometimes behaves strange. Is it always like and does it hurt other enemies?#

The new guns are not underpowerd in my opinon. The first weapon of each techtree is not intended to be an uber weapon and they are the first stage of development there will come more, much more. And by the way the rifle makes 30 damage with penetrating 22 and 14 time units. MG XF1 does 10 damage with penetrating 26 in 4 time untis, when it is fired three times it does 30 damage with penetrating 26 in 12 time units and it is more accurate. I guess you haven't seen any Technican ("Techniker" in your Version, a forgotten Translation) in game yet (due to the old static enemy choice). If meet them, you will see your advantages.

I only sporadicly get the message "The computer terminal is hacked" if I complete the minigame. Also you need to shoot destroy the thing after you hacked it maybe you could say that somewhere.
I searched for 20 minutes for the last enemy before I realised the terminal also counts as an enemy.

as for the rocketlauncher no it doesn't hurt enemy's as far as I know but I only used it on the drones not on the humans.
Edit: It works on humans i checked. But Now I am low on money and soldiers so I do a prison mission but afterwards I get the error not enough credits and the game freezes

You just discovered a major bug. The Terminal shall destroy itself in the next round after it's hacked. Can you give me more information on that battle so that I can figure out what has happend.

Sorry for the freeze. It seems that I was a little bit shortsighted with the staff adding functions. Staff freeing is realised by add staff to the market and buying them with extra money for that purpose. Just a bit too few money.

It wasn't yust one battle I only got the message Once and that was later in the game. I think the only time it showed was when I hacked the airplane factory and even then I think it didn't explode and I had tho shoot it.
My game version is 9.15b3 if you need to know

@comaner: Do you have savegame-file for my? You can upload it at the bug tracker. I just don't want such frustrating bugs in my gameset.

sure but where is the bugtracker i never used that thing.And where are the savefiles located because they aren't in the save file

You can find the bugtracker here:
You can find it also on the "Home" site of (top left). Actually there are no single save files. In the directory "save" in the XForce home directory should be a file with your player name. In this file are all games saved, so send me this please. Thanks.

Sorry for being not very clear I meant that the save folder is completely empty even when I still have my saves.
Anyone can explain that?

Windows Vista (and probably 7) redirects the temporary and save data of programs away from the original program folder. I don't know where you find that data (it is a similiar folder structure at another place).

Natter already works with those, he'll probably tell you where to find the save files (I still use XP and can't check that).

Anyway, it will use *.sav files.
Please try to global search [PlayerName].sav (for example, in my comp it is dairy.sav, apocalypse.sav, ioa.sav, galwar.sav, etc).
